Children’s Cabinet lists ASQ training, Home Visiting Day and governance summit; registration deadlines noted

Julia Gruss, research project coordinator at the KU Center for Public Partnerships and Research, closed the Feb. 11 webinar with several early childhood systems updates and dates for upcoming events.
Gruss announced a free in‑person introduction to the Ages and Stages Questionnaires (ASQ‑SE2 and ASQ‑3) training on Feb. 19 in Manhattan, Kansas, from 6 to 8 p.m., and said registration closes Friday, Feb. 13. She described the course as appropriate for center‑based and family child‑care professionals and said participants will leave with materials to implement the questionnaires in their programs.
She also noted Kansas Home Visiting Programs Day at the Capitol on March 4, inviting program staff and families to join for networking and meetings with lawmakers; Gruss said 150 slots are available and she believed about 72 remained when she last checked the website. Gruss announced the 5th annual Kansas Early Childhood Governance Summit on Feb. 20 at 9 a.m.; the summit will stream on the Children’s Cabinet YouTube channel and replaces the February early childhood recommendations panel.
Gruss closed by listing upcoming calendar items—the next systems‑building webinar on March 11 and the next Children’s Cabinet meeting on April 3—and reminding attendees that recordings and live streams will be posted on the Children’s Cabinet YouTube channel and that they can sign up for the All In for Kansas Kids newsletter.
