Domestic Animal Task Force approves minutes, sets schedule and assigns review teams

At the Feb. 26 meeting, the Anaconda Deer Lodge County Domestic Animal Task Force approved the Jan. 15 and Jan. 29, 2025 meeting minutes. The motion to approve the minutes was made by task force member Michelle Lennon and seconded by Vern Tuss; the motion passed.
The task force tentatively set regular meetings for the last Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m., with Jeffery Miles tasked with contacting the West Valley Fire Hall to confirm the March 26, 2025 meeting location. Members also provided a public contact email, domesticanimaltaskforce@gmail.com, for questions and submissions.
The group assigned Patti Davis, Brooke Gwin and Carl Hamming to develop multiple zoning option drafts and assigned Michelle Lennon, Lauren Bolton and Patti Davis to review sections 4–9 of an Ordinance 11‑A draft. Members discussed recruiting a veterinarian to advise the task force; Bill Willing suggested a 4‑H advisor as an interim possibility while recruitment continues.
There were no public comments recorded. The meeting adjourned at 7:16 p.m.
