Stanton Community Schools board accepts resignation, approves paraprofessional and volunteer coach contracts

The Stanton Community Schools Board of Education on Aug. 11 accepted a staff resignation and approved personnel contracts for the coming school year.
Board member Brian Wehner moved to accept the resignation of Savannah Kuester; Board member Rob Hupp seconded the motion and it carried with all members present voting in favor. Secondary Principal Micah Buller had presented the resignation and also reviewed new employment contracts and fall-sports plans during his report to the board.
The board approved an employment contract with Chelsey Bleyhl for the 7–12 Paraprofessional position for the 2025-2026 school year. The motion to approve the contract was made by Board member Shad Pohlman, seconded by Board member Amanda Tomasek, and passed unanimously.
Board members also approved a volunteer coaching contract for High School Wrestling with Bekah Butterfield. The motion was made by Board member Brian Wehner and seconded by Board member Amanda Tomasek; the motion carried unanimously.
Elementary Principal Sarah Remm reported on the summer JumpStart program, back-to-school updates, and workshops and trainings staff attended. The board set its next regular meeting for Sept. 8, 2025 and adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
