Commissioners also approved the accounts payable report totaling $179,530.87 on a motion by Commissioner Watkins, seconded by Commissioner Flanagan; the vote was unanimous.
Commissioners Jeffrey Jones and Leigh Ann Greene volunteered to serve on a health care committee; Chairman Dan McCranie asked County Manager Conner Bearden to invite Karen Cheek to serve if she is willing. The board was informed of upcoming vacancies on the HOGARC Aging Advisory Committee, the Dodge County Library Board and the DFCS Board; those positions will be advertised.
During public comments, Randy Thomas, director of campus and community engagement at Middle Georgia State University, noted 125 aviation students will graduate Thursday; an unnamed resident requested gravel on Mt Annis Baptist Church Road. Following public comments, the board entered executive session at 6:46 p.m. to discuss legal matters and land acquisition and reentered regular session at 7:16 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 7:17 p.m.
