The Limerick select board voted to appoint the interviewed applicant as the Wisco Island attendant for the season and scheduled workshops to complete outstanding policy reviews.
Board members discussed that last year the seasonal attendant was paid $200 for the whole season; members raised concerns about whether that stipend adequately covers travel and time. The interviewers recommended offering the position to the candidate for the remainder of the season and to reassess after winter. A motion to appoint the applicant passed unanimously.
The board also scheduled workshops to review remaining policies, including the personnel policy, code of ethics and contracts for snow plowing, setting a 5 p.m. workshop on the 21st to allow time for contract discussion before the select board meeting that evening. Members debated shifting the special town meeting date and coordinating agenda items for plowing contracts in early August before confirming the 21st as the workshop date.
With no additional new business, the chair moved to adjourn and the meeting ended.
