The Stanton Community Schools Board of Education held a public hearing on its proposed 2025–26 budget on Sept. 8, 2025. Board President John Mandl called the hearing to order at 6:40 p.m. in the Stanton Community High School library.
At the start of the session, a roll call confirmed that board members Amanda Tomasek, David Morfeld, John Mandl, Shad Pohlman, Rob Hupp and Brian Wehner were present. Also in attendance were Darren Soucie, Micah Buller and Sarah Remm.
President John Mandl announced the location of the posted copy of the Open Meetings Act for the public. Board member Shad Pohlman moved to "declare the meeting open and properly posted and/or published by advance notice in accordance with board policy #8342," and David Morfeld seconded the motion. The motion carried unanimously; the minutes record the shorthand "AMPVF—MC" (all members present voted for, motion carried).
