One commissioner said, "I think we'll change this up a little bit to just do art projects," and commissioners agreed to place a revised proposal on the next agenda for formal consideration.
Staff also reported the Adopt-a-Block program currently shows only four or five active participants and said outreach calls are underway to re-engage prior participants; staff will return with a more complete count at the next meeting. Commissioners asked staff to research any legal or budgetary constraints before committing funds to a citywide yard-sale fundraiser idea or the mural collaboration.
The commission carried the youth-program discussion to the next meeting for a formal agenda item with clarified rules, prize guidance and budget implications.
