The Saratoga Springs Planning Commission on July 16 recommended that the City Council approve a preliminary plat to dedicate right‑of‑way for Bonneville Drive, completing the alignment north from the recently approved high school to the border with Eagle Mountain.
The city’s senior planner described the submittal as a road‑dedication plat and said the city is in the process of purchasing the land; the purchase agreement was reported to be scheduled for City Council consideration the following week. Staff noted the plat had a number of red‑line items that were addressed in a resubmittal and included in the staff report and engineering conditions.
Commissioner Hill asked about the 'shall comply' items under the subdivision code and confirmed that the resubmittal and conditions address the typical development items such as sewer and road improvements. "Those red lines were carried forward as part of this approval; they're addressed in the conditions," the senior planner said.
Commissioner Rather moved to forward a recommendation for approval of the requested roadway dedication plat with the findings and conditions in the staff report; Commissioner Harris seconded and the motion passed by voice vote. Staff said next steps include finalizing the purchase and returning the plat through council and recordation steps as needed.
