Pasco highlights Harris Road realignment and developer-led street work in Broadmoor area

Pasco City is set to revisit plans to realign Harris Road to complete the Broadmoor transportation network and will consider a developer agreement to construct streets on key corridors including Convention Drive, the city said in a meeting preview.

Alyssa Warner, communications coordinator, said the Harris Road realignment follows the opening of the Sandifer Parkway extension and Road 108 and is intended to clarify access patterns so traffic flows more smoothly to and from homes and businesses in Broadmoor.

Council will also be asked to consider an agreement with a developer to build streets on key corridors such as Convention Drive; Warner said such an agreement "could help ease traffic right now and pave the way for development in the future." No agreement text or funding commitments were provided in the preview.

Why it matters: completing arterial and collector connections affects traffic safety, development patterns and future maintenance responsibilities.
