Separately, the commission discussed updated harassment and grievance-resolution policies. The revisions clarify responsibilities, add procedures for grievances involving elected or appointed officials, and add the city attorney as an additional point of contact in certain cases. One commissioner said their packet lacked redline changes and asked for a clear version showing edits before voting. Staff explained the redline will be inserted in the final document; after some discussion the commission approved the policy updates on a roll call vote.
Both actions were recorded by roll call to create an auditable record for federal and internal compliance.
