The Marquette County Board of Commissioners approved a consolidated one-year lobbying and governmental affairs agreement with Quadrant Consulting at its July 7 meeting. The contract term runs July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, at an annual retainer of $120,000 billed monthly at $10,000. The minutes record that the consolidation replaces prior separate agreements, including an agreement with Manny Lentine, Inc., which expired June 18, 2026.
Administrator DuRay told the board the consolidation should produce annual savings of $60,000 compared with the previous combined cost of $180,000. The contract will cover legislative advocacy, governmental affairs consulting, strategic guidance and assistance identifying funding opportunities; services outside the agreement’s scope will be billed separately at Quadrant’s standard billing rate with supporting documentation.
The motion to approve the one-year agreement was recorded as adopted 4-0 with Comm. Numinen abstaining. The board directed staff to finalize the consolidated contract and billing procedures.
