The Little Ferry Board of Education received a progress update on district building projects at its July 16, 2026, public meeting.
Superintendent (speaker 2) said the district’s new cafeteria kitchen project is underway and remains on schedule to be completed by mid‑August. “Parts are in stock and seems to be going well,” the superintendent said, adding the board would be kept informed of the construction timeline.
The superintendent also described HVAC work at Memorial School, reporting that crews have gutted 19 rooms and installed units; electricians were scheduled to begin hooking up systems the following week. On Liberty School, the superintendent said the goal is to have the building weather‑tight by the end of the summer so interior work can proceed.
The superintendent noted the HIP summary covering the period 12/30/2025 to 06/23/2026 is on the board agenda for review. No revised completion dates or change orders were announced at the meeting.
The board did not take formal action on any of these projects during the session; the superintendent framed the remarks as status updates and noted staff will continue to report back as milestones are reached.
