The Ft. Zumwalt R-II Board of Education approved multiple administrative agreements and a negotiated pay schedule at the July meeting.
Trustee (S3) presented a School Resource Officer partnership with the City of Saint Peters that maintains full-time SRO coverage at East High and South High and expands DeBray Middle School SRO coverage from half-time to full-time, with no price increase from prior years according to trustees. The board approved the SRO agreement by voice vote.
Administration (S2) presented and the board approved a negotiated parent-educator salary schedule for 2026–27 that raises the pay scale by an overall 4% to improve recruitment and retention, including increases to step 1 base pay and higher steps for bachelor’s and master’s levels.
Administration also asked the board to approve new HRIS platforms: Red Rover (time/attendance, substitute management, recruitment, employee records) and Vector Solutions (evaluations, compliance). Staff said the changes will streamline HR processes and yield roughly $30,000 in annual savings after initial implementation costs; the board approved those agreements by voice vote.
Finally, the board approved a replacement for the district’s GALILEO assessment system: Wayground (presented by JB, S18), which staff said provides similar cost, easier rollout and real-time dashboards at classroom, school and district levels.
All items were approved by voice vote as presented in the board packet.
