County approves CDBG-funded architectural assessment for Seeley Lake Elementary

A county presenter told the commission the architectural report will evaluate the full scope of building needs—kitchen, modular structures and other systems—so the school can pursue CDBG facility funding for major rehabilitation. The presenter said Seeley Lake demolished modular structures after mold was found in 2024 and used school reserves for that work.
The presenter also noted the Seeley Lake Food Bank operates out of the school in summer and serves about 190 individuals daily; county staff said the study will consider needs for both school functions and partner services. Commissioners moved, seconded and approved the subrecipient agreement by voice vote; the transcript records an "Aye" vote but does not include a roll-call tally.
Next steps include developing an RFQ for an architectural firm and procurement to carry out the assessment.
