The committee said they will continue fundraising and use any additional donations for landscaping or extras.
Council voted to approve the revised plan and directed staff and committee members to notify vendors about the adjusted scope. Officials noted they remain cautious because subsurface issues (wiring or unforeseen conditions) could create additional costs, and donations will continue to be sought to cover any contingencies.
The council’s action authorizes staff to proceed under the revised cost plan; staff will return if any additional funding needs arise.
