The Union City Borough Council unanimously approved Sept. 16 an amendment to Zoning Ordinance 1118 that adds definitions and regulations for redemption games (commonly described as games of skill) and creates a new section allowing accessory structures on adjoining lots.
Councilor Kerns moved to approve the amendment; Councilor Steadman seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The minutes indicate the change provides definitions for permitted use zones for redemption games and adds a new section (701.04) clarifying accessory-structure use on adjoining lots.
The minutes do not include the full ordinance language or an implementation schedule; the borough will post the updated ordinance text for public review.
