Trustees set Independence Day 2027 date, discuss Town Center work group

At the July 13 meeting, the Allendale Charter Township Board of Trustees discussed planning for Independence Day 2027 and next steps for a Town Center Work Group.
Trustees agreed that all Independence Day festivities — including the fireworks display and Activities in the Park — will be held on Saturday, July 3, 2027. Supervisor Adam Elenbaas said he will notify the Allendale Rotary Club so parade planning can be coordinated.
El enbaas also presented a proposed Town Center Concept Guide and said he will finalize the committee interest form and begin identifying and recruiting community members interested in serving on a Town Center Work Group to advance the project.
No formal votes were recorded for the Town Center Work Group; the Independence Day scheduling was agreed to during discussion.
