The board approved minutes from the June 17, 2026 meeting (motion by Nathan Kramer, seconded by Jon Hill). The claims presented and audited at the meeting were approved on a motion by Jon Hill, seconded by Nathan Kramer. The meeting record lists total claims of $208,227.39 and itemized line entries for county general, road, library, 911 and shop building debt service accounts.
Commissioner Kramer moved, and Commissioner Hill seconded, a motion to designate NACO/State Print Shop to print postcards related to LB644; the motion passed unanimously. Treasurer Richard Gewecke presented a six-month financial report; Commissioner Hill moved to approve the report, Commissioner Kramer seconded, and the motion passed with all votes recorded in the meeting minutes.
The board also heard a recommendation from the Veteran Service Board to appoint Bryan Higgins as a part-time Veterans Service Officer; Clerk Jennifer Nicholson advised the board that the position must be advertised prior to an appointment being completed. The board discussed road department staffing after two recent resignations and decided to advertise the open roadman positions; no hiring decisions were recorded at the meeting.
