Ridgway — The Town Council on April 10 ratified a proposed Memorandum of Understanding with San Miguel Power Association (SMPA) that will allow the Colorado Department of Local Affairs to finalize a $46,900 Microgrids for Community Resiliency construction grant.
Manager Neill told the council SMPA applied for and received the DOLA award to install a microgrid to power the Decker Community Room in the event of an outage. "The grant was awarded in the amount of $46,900 to install a microgrid to power the Decker Community Room," Manager Neill reported.
Councilor Lakin moved and Mayor Pro Tem Russ Meyer seconded a motion to ratify the MOU; the motion carried on a roll call vote with Councilor Terry Schuyler recorded as abstaining.
