At its Feb. 18 meeting the Windsor Board of Education approved several routine but notable items: the 2026-27 school calendar on second reading, a Marching Band .5-credit, pass/fail course for Windsor High School's Program of Studies, and the naming of Mr. Eskenazi as assistant principal at Windsor High School. The board also accepted a $14,735 donation from the Windsor Education Foundation to fund 11 district projects.
The calendar acceptance and the Program of Studies addition each passed unanimously (9-0). The marching band course will be graded pass/fail and will not be counted toward student GPA, per the motion approved by the board.
Earlier in the meeting, Sage Park Middle School CTE teacher Megan Rickis, District Physical Therapist Dr. Alysha Seickel, and student Carter Lewis presented the district's GoBabyGo cluster program and demonstrated an adaptive vehicle in the boardroom. Acting Superintendent Dr. Noha Abdel-Hady noted the district's recent professional development day, which included instruction on AI tools and wellness activities, and reminded the public about upcoming community workshops hosted by the Office of Family and Community Partnership.
The board approved consent agenda items (financial, enrollment, food service, human resources) and minutes from prior meetings earlier in the session, and the meeting adjourned at 9:11 PM.
