Marlborough selectmen appoint Gina Paight as chair, approve warrants and monument donations

Gina Paight was appointed chair of the Marlborough Board of Selectmen at the board’s March 18, 2026 meeting. Selectman Pitt moved to appoint Paight and Selectman Nelson seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
The board unanimously approved the March 19, 2026 payroll warrant for $18,062.41 and an accounts payable payment manifest totaling $69,731.84 after a motion by Selectman Nelson and a second by Selectman Pitt. The board also unanimously approved the March 10, 2026 meeting minutes on a motion from Selectman Nelson.
Selectman Pitt moved to accept unanticipated donations for the town’s Revolutionary War Monument under New Hampshire RSA 31:95(b). The donations recorded in the minutes were $100 from Jeff Miller and Carol MacKinnon and $100 from Andrew Cullen; Selectman Nelson seconded and the vote to accept the donations was unanimous. The board treated those contributions as unanticipated revenue under the cited statute.
Town Administrator Ellen Smith led routine administrative work during the session, and the board reviewed and signed multiple forms and permits. The meeting adjourned at 11:15 a.m. after a unanimous motion to close.
