JP Rivera Lopez outlined the regrading request for the collector’s office, saying HR had reviewed the position and that regrading (including retroactive pay) would compensate an employee whose workload had exceeded the original job description. Rivera Lopez moved to pass the ordinance; the court took a roll-call vote and the motion passed.
The court next considered the consent agenda—item 11 (an ordinance amending the sheriff’s office and jail budget for 2026), item 12 (regrading two roles at the sheriff’s office) and item 13 (approving new full-time deputy clerk positions)—and approved the consent agenda by roll call.
