Brady AD recommends returning to per‑game pay to address equity and consistency concerns
Summary
Athletic Director Andy Seamann told the board the district's move in July 2024 to hourly pay for activity clock and line workers created consistency and equity problems; he recommended returning to $15 per game pay after volleyball season so per-game workers are not disadvantaged.

Athletic Director Andy Seamann told the board on Oct. 13 that a district decision in July 2024 to pay activity clock and line personnel by the hour has caused practical problems and inequities, including the need for employees to clock in and out. Seamann said individuals paid per game often earn more than those paid hourly and recommended reverting to pay‑per‑game at $15 per game after the volleyball season.
Seamann framed the recommendation as a response to inconsistency and administrative burden under the hourly system. The item was presented for discussion (agenda item 8.1) and no formal board vote to change the pay model was recorded at the meeting. Board members asked procedural and scheduling questions; staff will return with any proposed policy or contract changes as needed.
The discussion followed athletic financial reporting for September, which showed gate revenue ($6,029.80), officials costs ($6,140.00, excluding lines and clock) and Hudl revenue ($1,471.36).
