River Ridge CDD approves $3,098 "zombie box" for lake aerator in 3–2 vote

Operations Manager Shane Willis presented Premier Lakes’ one‑time work order and a revised Bentley Electric proposal that would add about $10,755 of electrical work to relocate the aeration system farther from the originally proposed site. The board discussed budget implications and a suggestion to defer a full relocation decision to FY2026 budget deliberations.
On a motion by Bob Schultz, seconded by Robert Twombly, the board approved installing a zombie box in the amount of $3,098. The motion passed 3–2; Mr. Schultz, Mr. Twombly and Mr. Merrill voted in favor, while Mr. Mountford and Mr. Blumenthal voted against the measure.
Board members noted they may revisit the $10,755 relocation proposals during the proposed FY2026 budget discussions.
