North Fond du Lac board adopts 2023 utility budgets, discusses new well and treatment plans

The Village of North Fond du Lac Board of Trustees on March 6 approved resolutions appropriating funds for its water, wastewater and stormwater utilities for 2023 and reviewed a five-year capital improvement plan that includes a new well and potential treatment work.
Director of Public Works Mitch Vis presented the 2023 Water, Wastewater and Stormwater Utility budgets and an updated five-year CIP. Vis explained that the plan includes adding Well #5 and possibly adding new treatment at existing Well #4 within the next four to five years to meet system needs.
The board approved Resolution R-02-2023 to appropriate funds for water utility operations, Resolution R-03-2023 for wastewater operations and Resolution R-04-2023 for stormwater operations. Each resolution passed with unanimous support in recorded votes.
Trustees did not record detailed cost line items in the minutes; implementation steps and timing for the new well and any treatment upgrades will proceed through staff planning and future board actions. The board also approved the wastewater and stormwater appropriations unanimously.
