Trustee Ann Price asked whether the board had considered raising pool admission rates to offset higher payroll costs; King replied staff would supply a rate comparison but believed current prices were reasonable. Administrator Nick Leonard and trustees discussed recruitment challenges and the pool’s value as a community amenity.
Trustee Mike Will moved to adopt the wage adjustments; President Mike Streetar seconded. The board voted 4-0 to approve the increase.
The board directed staff to provide a rate-comparison report to inform whether fee changes should accompany the higher wages. The wage adjustment takes effect as approved by staff; no specific effective date was recorded in the meeting minutes.
