Civil Service Commission adopts remaining redlined administrative changes and updates rule 17.13 wording

The Civil Service Commission on April 6 approved the remaining redlined administrative changes to its rules and accepted a wording update to rule 17.13 recommended after legal review. City Manager Albert Tripp told commissioners that Attorney Kim Kamel reviewed the draft and advised adding the word "city" to rule 17.13; the commission approved incorporating that change into the redlined document.
Commissioner/Chair Hank Bynaker moved to approve all remaining redlined administrative changes; Commissioner Bill Campbell seconded the motion and it passed. Tripp said he will incorporate the redline edits into the document and redistribute the updated version to commissioners.
At the start of the meeting the commission also approved the meeting agenda and the March 2, 2026 minutes by voice vote. No executive session or hearings were held. The commission adjourned at 1:18 p.m. and scheduled its next meeting for May 4, 2026 at 1:00 p.m.
