At the March 24 meeting the Planning Commission reviewed a bond-release request for Norborn Glebe Phase 14B. Staff reported the performance bond was $819,036 and the land-disturbance bond was $123,437; the submitted plan called for 30 streetlights but inspectors verified only 22 installed lights. Staff and the bond committee recommended tabling the performance-bond decision until the outstanding eight streetlights are installed by FirstEnergy.
The applicant’s representative (Michael Hummel, Arcadia Land Inc) acknowledged the discrepancy and said the team is coordinating with FirstEnergy to complete the installations. After opening and closing the public hearing the commission voted to table the performance-bond decision until the lights are installed and to approve release of the land-disturbance bond. Staff noted tabling avoids re-advertisement and extra procedural steps that denial could require.
