The Silver Creek Township Board of Supervisors on June 17 approved several maintenance and contracting measures, including funding for loader repairs and a new engineering services agreement.
Chairman Mike Helman moved to give township employees the day off on June 19 and to approve up to $10,000 for loader repairs; both motions were seconded by Supervisor Andy Christensen and carried 3-0. Earlier in the meeting, Supervisor Andy Christensen moved (seconded by Supervisor Sandy Forsman) to approve the agenda with the addition of the Olson liquor license to new business, the June 3 meeting minutes and the listed disbursements; those procedural motions also carried 3-0. The audit of claims listed four vendors: 19410 Cintas, 19406 Chamberlin Oil, 19399 Menards and 19391 TDS.
Under old business the board voted to continue using Wright County Assessors for assessor services. Supervisor Christensen moved the measure, Forsman seconded and the motion carried 3-0; the board noted it will look into other assessor options in the future.
In new business, Chairman Helman moved to retain Otto for engineering services not to exceed $30,000; Supervisor Christensen seconded and the motion carried 3-0. The board also approved up to $500 to repair the township hall audio and video system, on a motion by Helman seconded by Christensen, carried 3-0.
With items concluded, Supervisor Christensen moved to adjourn the meeting; Forsman seconded and the motion carried.
