The Downtown Design Review Board approved a Certificate of Appropriateness for a new single‑family house at 1120 Adcock Avenue and voted to postpone three other infill certificate requests to the next meeting.
Staff described the 1120 Adcock proposal (30 by 44 feet, front porch, stucco‑clad block foundation) and recommended approval subject to minor site plan revisions, returning to the board for major foundation height changes, and differentiating final siding color from a recently approved comparable house at 1130 Adcock. Applicant Jesse Allercon stated recent adjustments improved the rear elevation and confirmed the stucco base treatment for the foundation. The board moved and seconded to approve the COA per staff recommendation; the motion carried.
Earlier in the meeting the board also voted to postpone three infill housing certificates (including 12E25IH and 2A26IH) to the next month; one postponement (7D26IH) was automatic. Staff additionally updated the board on remanded material‑amendment work to the zoning code: staff expects to engage stakeholders and does not anticipate amendments returning to the board next month, estimating a two‑month earliest timeframe for stakeholder engagement and further action.
With those administrative items resolved, the board adjourned.
