The Quinton Township Committee approved a string of administrative and public-works measures during a June 23 special meeting at township hall.
On resolutions, the committee approved Resolution 2026-85 awarding resurfacing of the Quinton Fire House parking lot; the roll call showed Committee member James Smith and Mayor Joseph Hannagan voting yes and Committee member Marjorie L. Sperry voting no. Resolution 2026-89, authorizing lien assignment of Certificate #19-00014, was tabled.
The committee unanimously accepted the 2025 report of audit (Resolution 2026-86), authorized use of 360 Business Solutions (Resolution 2026-87), and authorized the township engineer to proceed with Section II improvements on North Burden Hill Road (Resolution 2026-88).
The Clerk said the Township Solicitor revised the food truck vendor permit application to clarify information requested from the first applicant; the updated application was approved on a 3–0 roll call vote. The committee also discussed rescheduling the July 7 regular meeting and proposed making the July 15 work session a special meeting with a 6:00 p.m. start time.
During the public session, D. Perry of the Quinton Fire Company presented an updated facility maintenance list and asked that the township communicate the resurfacing project start date with the Fire Chief and Ambulance Squad to preserve emergency access during construction. The committee agreed to forward the list to maintenance for review and prioritization.
Other operational items discussed included a pending Joint Insurance Fund renewal to be placed on the July agenda for cost comparison, an ongoing review of sewer hookup fee calculations to resolve discrepancies among department records, and restarting approvals for a proposed school traffic signal project after missing documentation prompted resubmissions and additional agency review.
The meeting adjourned at 2:09 p.m.
