Pflugerville ISD trustees approve TCAD vote, consent agenda and ratify two elementary principals

The Pflugerville ISD Board of Trustees approved several administrative actions and personnel ratifications during its Nov. 20 meeting.
On a recommended resolution for the Travis Central Appraisal District (TCAD) board, a trustee moved to cast the district’s 100 votes for Elizabeth Montoya. The motion passed 7–0 following a second and roll call by the chair.
The board then approved the consent agenda by a 7–0 vote.
After a closed session on personnel matters, trustees returned to open session and ratified two principal appointments. Trustee Torres moved to ratify personnel for the principal of Pflugerville Elementary; the motion was seconded and carried 7–0. Superintendent Dr. Shepherd introduced Robert Herrera as the appointed principal.
Trustees also ratified personnel for Mott Elementary. A motion to ratify the principal of Bernadine Mott Elementary was seconded by Vice President Kelly Daniel and approved 7–0. Superintendent Shepherd announced Valerie Starnes, formerly the assistant principal, as principal of Mott Elementary.
The board adjourned at 7:55 p.m. following the routine votes.
