The Crosslake library reported that its Summer Reading Hour began the Saturday before May 24, with family programs every Saturday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
Library staff also announced that beginning June 4 the library will keep Thursday evenings open until 7:00 p.m. to provide more access for evening visitors. On Monday, June 1, the Master Gardener group will meet with volunteers at 11:30 a.m. to inventory existing plantings and develop a maintenance plan for the library patio garden.
The library offered these updates as part of the commission’s regular reports; staff did not request formal action. Separately, the Crosslake Community School will hold its annual garage sale around the Fourth of July and begin accepting donations on June 8.
