Floyd County supervisors restructure planning pay, note hires and continue FY27 budget reviews

The Floyd County Board of Supervisors on March 31 voted unanimously to restructure the allocation of pay for the county's Planning and Zoning Administrator and handled several personnel and budget matters as part of routine business.
Supervisors Frank Rottinghaus and Boyd Campbell moved to change the payroll allocation for the Planning and Zoning Administrator from a split of 85% Board of Health, 10% Planning & Zoning and 5% 911 to 85% Board of Health and 15% Planning & Zoning, effective March 16, 2026. The motion carried 3-0.
During the meeting the board noted the hiring of Megan Kock as a part-time Registered Nurse (BSN) in Public Health, effective April 27, 2026. The board also noted a pay increase for Dispatcher Madelyn Mannetter to $27.76 per hour effective March 15, 2026, following completion of training.
The board approved routine claims (County #2107-2138 and Engineer #10579-10590) by motion, and separately moved to void Warrant No. 29830 dated Nov. 18, 2024, issued to Central IA JV Detention for $12.99; both motions carried 3-0. Supervisors also continued review of FY27 department and service area budget reports as part of ongoing budget preparation. The meeting adjourned at 10:30 a.m.
