The Floyd County Conference Board approved the county’s 2026 budget after a brief public hearing and unanimous votes by the board’s voting units.
Chairperson Gloria Carr opened a public hearing on the proposed budget at 5:05 P.M.; no members of the public spoke and the hearing closed at 5:06 P.M. Charlie Newman moved to approve the budget as presented; Frank Rottinghaus seconded and the motion carried with all voting units recorded as in favor. Mayor Jeff Buland joined the meeting by Teams during the budget item.
The approval follows routine procedural steps taken at the start of the meeting: the agenda and the February 3, 2026 minutes were both approved earlier in the session. The board did not record a roll-call vote count in the transcript; minutes indicate “all voting units were in favor.”
The meeting was held in the Floyd County EOC and adjourned at 6:04 P.M.
