Hudson Highland Reserve: board reports stabilization progress, requests August update

Town staff and consultants provided the board an update on remediation at Hudson Highland Reserve following an enforcement action. Staff said limits of the conservation easement and proposed disturbance areas were flagged and that crews had stabilized a majority of exposed slopes with erosion matting.
A staff member said they would assemble a composite map showing whether disturbance had breached the limits of the conservation easement and produce reports by August 1. "The limits of the conservation easement have been flagged...a good majority of it has been stabilized," the staff member reported.
The board asked for weekly stormwater inspection reports during the remaining stabilization period and for staff to circulate those reports to the board and to town staff. Members said they wanted a punch list of remaining work and verification of any breaches of the recorded limits of disturbance.
Next steps: staff will compile inspection findings and produce a report by August 1; weekly inspections and follow-up memos will be circulated to the board for review.
