On July 8, 2025, the Gilmore City-Bradgate Community School District and the West Bend-Mallard Community School District boards met jointly in the Gilmore City Bradgate CSD lunch room. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. by Presidents John Zaugg and Devin Ellrich and was attended by board members from both districts.
Stacy Besch of Team Iowa delivered a presentation titled "Educating on the Dangers of Human Trafficking in Iowa," in which she outlined risks in the state and ‘‘shared several personal encounters’’ with board members, according to the meeting minutes. Both boards indicated they would like the presentation to be shared with students and the wider community.
Before the presentation, the boards approved the meeting agenda. The motion to approve the agenda was moved by Marsha Habben for Gilmore City-Bradgate and Chris Montag for West Bend-Mallard, and seconded by April Smith (GCB) and Dave Bruellman (WBM). The minutes record the vote as "all ayes; motion carried unanimously." Later in the meeting, at 7:09 p.m., April Smith (GCB) and Dave Bruellman (WBM) moved to adjourn; the motion carried unanimously.
