Atkinson supervisors approve voter-roll updates and finalize March 10 election logistics

Atkinson’s Supervisors of the Checklist on Feb. 28 approved updates to the town voter roll and finalized preparations for the March 10 town election. Supervisors Karen Trasatti and Catherine Zerba voted to accept the Jan. 20 minutes and to approve a set of Election Net/system changes.
The approval of roll changes covered 30 approvals and 17 removals, including five deaths, one move off the roll and other removals; supervisors noted nine 30-day letters were returned undeliverable and two voters remained on the 30-day list with cards placed in the town mailbox on Feb. 28. The board discussed an apparent duplicate name and asked Kari to verify the correct voter ID before further processing. Catherine Zerba made the motion to accept the changes; Karen Trasatti seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Voter registration cards (VRCs) will be filed after the meeting.
The supervisors certified the Alpha voter list showing 5,837 registered Atkinson voters: 1,161 Democrats, 2,462 Republicans and 2,214 undeclared voters. The Alpha Voter Certificate page was signed by both supervisors.
Officials also assigned logistics for the March 10 town election: Karen Trasatti will print all checklists; Catherine Zerba will recruit volunteers and provide snacks; assignments for training, set-up and name tags were tentatively listed with "Kristen". The supervisors set their next meeting for May 2, 2026, and directed that meeting notices be posted at Town Hall, the Post Office, the Library, and the Community Center by March 15. Julianna was notified to update the town website. The meeting adjourned at 11:00 a.m.
