The Town Board took a series of votes at the Nov. 25 meeting covering routine and substantive matters. Highlights:
- Appointment: Michelle Moore was appointed to the Planning Board for a term expiring Dec. 31, 2026 (motion moved and seconded; vote recorded as "Aye").
- Contracts and easements: The board approved a catering contract (not to exceed $5,000) for a municipal officials association meeting; it authorized water‑main easement agreements related to two subdivisions and approved surveying and engineering services not to exceed $334,000 for Manhattan Brook and Troublesome Brook work (resolution passed).
- Legal retentions and settlements: The board authorized continued retention of Colson O’Connor for review of a village‑incorporation petition and related Article 78 matters; it also approved retention of Mara Stuffy (and colleagues) and Kenneth Pitcuff to represent the town in two separate cases, each with not‑to‑exceed amounts reported in the agenda (votes recorded as in favor).
- Park and transportation resolutions: The board approved a service agreement with Ridgewood Elmwood owners for survey, design and related services for a new park driveway and accepted CD resolutions that set cost‑sharing and town commitments related to the Springbrook Parkway (Route 100B) ramp alignment project with NYSDOT; the board also affirmed a commitment to establish a new park entrance in advance of DOT letting.
- Surplus disposition: The board authorized use of an online auction vendor to sell surplus vehicles and equipment; following discussion the board rescinded an earlier longer-term authorization and reapproved the vendor on an amended, shorter trial term (six months) and requested a staff follow‑up presentation on auction procedures.
- Donations and community items: The board accepted a $5,000 donation to support a community program and approved standard event road closings (tree light, caroling and other local events).
All motions shown in the meeting minutes were moved, seconded and approved unless otherwise noted; where funds or caps were listed on the agenda those numbers were recorded in the board vote language.
