The board agreed to hold over a public hearing on proposed local law changes for accessory dwelling units that had been scheduled for the next night. Committee member (Speaker 2) said Commissioner Duquesne requested the hold and proposed rescheduling the hearing to Nov. 25 or Dec. 11; the clerk confirmed the change would be posted on the town website.
Speaker 6 said staff are compiling public questions and preparing responses to post before the updated public hearing date so residents can review them in advance. "Ultimately, I'd like to coordinate a work session date with the town board to discuss which updated local law to post," Speaker 6 said. The board did not adopt a new local law during the session; the item will return on the agenda for the rescheduled hearing date.
