The Pittsburg County Economic Development Authority met July 6, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. in the County Commissioners Conference Room at the Pittsburg County Courthouse in McAlester. Vice-Chairman Mike Haynes called the meeting to order and recorded Trustee Charlie Rogers present; Chairman Ross Selman was absent.
Vice-Chairman Mike Haynes moved to approve the meeting agenda; Trustee Charlie Rogers seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The board then approved the minutes from the June 29, 2026 regular meeting on a motion by Rogers, seconded by Haynes.
Trustee Rogers moved to acknowledge all claims and fiscal transactions issued by the Economic Development Authority and approved by the Board of County Commissioners; Haynes seconded and the motion passed. The printed purchase-order reports attached to the meeting record show vendor and contract-labor entries. One report (fiscal year 2026–2027) lists monthly utility and service charges to the EDA Expo M&O account totaling $1,133.31 (vendors include Rural Water Dist. #7, Public Service Co. of Oklahoma, NewEra LLC and City of McAlester). A second report (fiscal year 2025–2026) lists two contract labor payments of $300 each to Dakota Morgan and Matthew McFarland, totaling $600.00.
