Clifton treasurer reports $480,084 balance; council approves community events, donation and calendar funding

Treasurer Marilyn Barton reported the town’s cash balance at $480,084.15 as of Oct. 31, 2011, listing account balances: Security Deposit $1,742.48; Money Market $151,330.05; Certificate of Deposit $310,930.94; Checking $15,166.10; and LGIP $914.58. The treasurer said she would distribute the full financial report the following weekend.
On community events and donations, the council noted $15,221.10 in revenue deposited from the Haunted Trail with $5,000 in expenses and about $600 in online sales. The council accepted a sculpture donation from the family of Raymond Van Lienden for placement on green space near the railroad siding rather than a bench; it also approved Donna Netschert as chair to run the Spring Egg Hunt with $400 of budgeted expenses. Chuck Rusnak proposed producing a 2012 town calendar at an estimated cost of $2,100 and agreed to reduce the print run from 250 to 200 copies; the council appropriated funds for calendar production.
The council approved the treasurer’s report and recorded related administrative motions (approval of minutes and adjournment). The minutes indicate these actions were unanimous where recorded unless otherwise noted.
