Streetscape public meeting set Jan. 17 as council readies February presentation and March hearing

The Clifton Town Council set a public meeting for Jan. 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the Community Hall to review the Streetscape Plan and gather final public input.
Council member Dwayne Nitz said engineers and consultants will take the public input after the Jan. 17 meeting, make any last changes, and present their recommendations to the Town Council at the February meeting. If the council authorizes a public hearing, the hearing would be scheduled for March 2012.
Council members and business representatives discussed coordinating Architectural Review Board work with the Clifton Business Coalition and hosting public meetings in February, with a Public Hearing in March, to ensure business and resident input is incorporated into signage and streetscape guideline recommendations.
The council encouraged widespread notice of meetings so the business community and residents can participate in drafting signage guidelines and streetscape decisions.
