Winfield — City counsel Tim Lafon and Mayor Randy Barrett explained Application 2024-2025-13 from EBE Investments on March 19, saying the proposal seeks a conditional permit to allow a group housing development on a 6.40-acre parcel located behind WMHV between Cash Lane and Riverdale Estates.
The property was rezoned from M1 to R2 in June 2023. Lafon and Barrett said revised layout maps are available for review and that the primary setback concern had shifted from the Cash Lane side to the side adjacent to the Mobile Home Park. They said the application remains before the Planning Committee and, if approved by the Planning Director, will move to the Board of Zoning Appeals for final consideration.
The council noted two upcoming public hearings: April 7 and April 14. No formal action was taken at the March 19 special budget meeting; the hearing schedule and committee review will determine whether the permit advances to the BZA.
