Officials were also told that if the city proceeds to order new equipment, lead time is roughly 16 weeks. The plant was described as "running good" otherwise, and plant staff were recognized for recent work clearing snow from streets.
Council did not vote on a specific procurement at the Jan. 14 meeting; the discussion centered on cost estimates, a planned formal notice to the contractor, and the scheduling implications of a multi-month equipment lead time.
