Interim director says school mental‑health program and senior meals are expanding

Verhus said the program’s average behavioral‑intervention metric improved (reported as changing from 0.69 to 1.016) and that average GPA for the cohort rose slightly, about 1.25 percent.
Verhus also reviewed the foundation’s senior hot‑meals operation, saying about 66 seniors are enrolled and the program prepares roughly 400 made‑from‑scratch meals weekly with about 87 volunteers; deliveries are made three times a week. She described staffing and volunteer efforts and thanked the council for prior support.
The presentation included a brief staffing note: the foundation’s former director, Sarah Stratton, has stepped down and Verhus said she is serving as interim while the board searches for a permanent executive director. Verhus asked council members to direct any follow‑up questions to Stratton, herself or foundation staff.
The council did not take formal action on the presentation. The foundation’s materials and program statistics were provided as part of the nonprofit’s update to the council.
