The Udall Unified School District 463 Board of Education convened a budget hearing on Monday, Sept. 9, 2024, at 5:50 p.m. in the district office board room. Board President Chris Holmes called the meeting to order and noted that Trustee Megan Clasen was absent.
Trustee Clayton Bishop moved to adopt the agenda as presented; Trustee Adrianne King seconded. The motion passed 5-0, with Trustees Andrea Ahlerich, Clayton Bishop, Scott Eilers, Adrianne King and Rebecca Mason recorded as voting yes.
During the public comment portion of the hearing, Board member Rebecca Mason asked for help and guidance regarding the proposed budget documents. President Holmes directed Superintendent Heidi Perkins to meet with the board members to review the budget materials. Perkins then highlighted key elements of the proposed budget and answered questions from trustees.
No formal vote on the budget itself was recorded in the minutes. The meeting roster lists Superintendent Heidi Perkins, MS/HS Principal Chris Husselman, Board Clerk Kimberly Miller, district resident George Cash and school nurse Sandy Jirak as in attendance. President Holmes adjourned the hearing at 6:01 p.m.
The superintendent is expected to follow up with board members to provide the requested review of the budget documents before further board action is taken.
