The Weld County Board of County Commissioners voted July 13, 2026, to approve Contract ID 10923, authorizing the Public Works Department to purchase industrial equipment and supplies from Fastenal Company under a cooperative procurement agreement.
Toby Taylor of Purchasing explained the procurement basis: "The Public Works Department desires to purchase various goods from the Fastenal Company in 2026." Taylor cited Weld County Code section 5-4-80 (expenditures not requiring a procurement process) and said the purchases fall under Item 26, which exempts purchases made from current state, federal, GSA, or other cooperative contracts. Taylor identified the cooperative as Colorado State pricing agreement 195290/NVP and recommended approval.
Taylor told the board the recommended not-to-exceed amount is $90,000 for calendar year 2026. After a motion and second, the chair called for a voice vote and announced the motion carried.
The motion delegates procurement under the cited cooperative pricing agreement; the board did not record a roll-call tally in the meeting transcript.
