The Weld County Board of County Commissioners approved Code Ordinance 2026-10 on second reading at its July 13, 2026, meeting, adopting amendments to chapter 5 (Revenue and Finance) that update the county's small business incentive program.
Planning staff member Maxwell told commissioners this was the second reading of the ordinance and that "staff has no recommended changes and recommends approval." The chair opened a public hearing for comments and, seeing none, closed the hearing before the board voted.
The ordinance text was read by county staff at the meeting and planning services framed the measure as a technical and policy update to the small business incentive program; Maxwell recommended approval on behalf of the department. After a motion and second, the chair called for a voice vote and announced the motion carried.
The ordinance will amend how the county administers incentives under chapter 5 (Revenue and Finance). No members of the public spoke during the public hearing. The board did not specify a roll-call tally at the meeting; the chair announced approval by voice vote.
