Roberge said the decline reflects multiple factors, including lower birth rates nationally and, earlier in the school year, the impact of immigration enforcement on withdrawals. The district is working with an external consultant, Cropper, to analyze enrollment patterns and run simulations to inform potential rezoning and resource decisions.
Committee members requested a cumulative KPI report that would compile quarter-by-quarter indicators for the full school year to provide clearer year-over-year comparisons rather than separate quarterly snapshots. Roberge said the district will compile a district-level summary that aligns with state accountability reporting due to be publicized in August and will continue to monitor enrollments daily through late summer.
